Rotala Wallichii Characteristics
It is an elegant stem plant that originates from the mild and slightly acidic waters of Southeast Asia. Its inflorescence has bright purple flowers. Although it is not easy to grow, it is a very popular plant.
It needs plenty of light, CO2 fertilization, and a balanced supply of nutrients to grow well.. A good supply of CO2 is essential, be it biological CO2 or a cylinder system, It grows best if the nitrate level never drops to zero but also does not exceed 10 to 15mg per liter. It prefers a high phosphate content of 1-2mg per liter, as well as a good supply of iron and micronutrients.
