Characteristics of Rotala sp. "Wayanad"
This Rotala was apparently found in the Wayanad district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is probably a local form of Rotala rotundifolia with thin, narrow, greenish-yellow submerged leaves.
We recommend medium to strong lighting, addition of CO2 and regular supply of macro and micronutrients. Rotala sp. “Wayanad” demands equally low as normal Rotala rotundifolia. This still little known form of Rotala from India has a very decorative effect, especially when bushy in the middle of the aquarium.
