Characteristics of Rotala Mexicana "Bangladesh"
Rotala Mexicana “Bangladesh” is a vigorous and extremely easy way to care for Rotala mexicana. It has larger, less curved leaves than R. mexicana 'Araguaia'. Its color ranges from light green to light red and varies greatly depending on light intensity and nutrient supply, so a clump of this stem plant can appear a bit colourful. In Europe, this Rotala remains a little-known rarity.
Like other fine-leaved forms of Rotala, Rotala mexicana “Bangladesh” prefers high light and a good supply of CO2 and nutrients. Its rapid growth makes regular shortening necessary. Mexican Rotala “Bangladesh” looks most beautiful as a group in the middle to the bottom of aquariums.
