Nesaea Crassicaulis Characteristics
Nesaea Crassicaulis is a beautiful stem plant that features a palette of bright colors when grown under optimal conditions planted aquariums. Like other species in the same family, Nesaea Crassicaulis also requires a good amount of aquarium quality LED lighting along with CO2 injection and more specific water parameters to promote a lush growth and bold colors.
When planting, Nesaea Crassicaulis should be planted in quality aquarium soil with enough space between each stem to ensure the lower levels receive an ample amount of lighting as well. Lack of lighting can result in dull coloration as well as rotting of the undersides.
We recommend planting Nesaea Crassicaulis in the middle of a planted aquarium. The style of this aquatic stem plant would work well for a classic planted aquarium or also in a Dutch style aquarium.
The slight variation in tones deep orange and bronze would add a lovely contrast to groups of red, magenta and green stem aquarium plants. Easy to propagate, Nesaea Crassicaulis can be treated the same way as other stem plants: Simply cut the stem and replant the cuttings in a nutritious aquarium substrate.
