Characteristics of Microgramma Nitida
microgramma nitida is an epiphytic fern of average size that can really add great texture to a decoration terrarium. This species shows impressive bright green leaves. It spreads slowly with rhizomes that tend to spread out until they find an area where they can anchor and then sprout several leaves at once. Occasionally this can lead to several inches of leafless rhizome, but don't worry if this happens, it's completely normal. To have the most success with this species, you need to anchor it to a surface.
Sprout small semi-gloss leaves, elongated-oval, sustained and erect on the thin, slightly flattened rhizomes that they snake over logs or ferns. Because this fern evolved on the trunks of tropical trees, withstands low humidity better than others, pBut it really grows well when given artificial rainforest conditions and good humidity where it forms a dense ground cover.
