Drosera Capensis Alba Profile
Drosera Capensis Alba Characteristics
Origin: South Africa
Drosera capensis originally hails from Cape Town, which gives it its nickname Cape sundew. Long, thin leaves with dewdrops grow from their rosette. Where the Drosera capensis alba is colorless, the Drosera capensis turns red.
Watered
It keeps the plant very moist. To make it really easy, a saucer of water can be placed under the plant. Complete this immediately as soon as it is empty.
Lighting design
Place the Sundew in a bright place. When the plant loses its dew, this is an indication that the plant needs more moisture. Move the plant to a more humid environment or place a glass on it.
Of the Droseras in our current range, Drosera filiformis, nidiformis and binata are all hardy. For the rest this does not apply and they must be brought inside before the onset of winter.
Fertilizer
Sundew does not need fertilizers.
