Pleurothallis Rowleei Characteristics
The light requirements of this orchid are low, and grows well in a humid and ventilated environment. Withstands temperatures in the range of 12 to 29 degrees. It does best in mild temperatures. It has no rest period, so irrigation should not be suspended and it is necessary to make sure that the moss or the substrate maintains the humidity of constant form.
This species and Pleurothallis Gomezii are similar, but differs in having slightly larger flowers with acuminate sepals and long petals.
Orchids are a colorful addition to any natural vivarium. Mostly epiphytic in nature, orchids are best anchored in wood or at the bottom of a tropical vivarium. The orchids they will not tolerate stagnant water on their leaves and they will benefit greatly from regular air circulation in the terrarium. Make sure to use a well-draining substrate when planting orchids or simply attach them with sphagnum moss to any surface.
