Characteristics of the Yellow Neon Prawns
Prawns Yellow Fire Neon They are useful in the aquarium as waste disposers and algae eaters. They feed on biofilms and take care of parts of dead plants and dead animals. They like to eat a special shrimp food, predominantly of plant origin, and a suitable protein food twice a week. Autumn brown leaves should always be present in the aquarium as permanent food.
As a peaceful group animal, it gets along well with other aquarium inhabitants, such as small peaceful fish, snails and mussels, but also dwarf and large crabs and freshwater crabs, as long as the water parameters match. You should start with a group of 10 to 20 shrimp of one species. To gather the Yellow Fire Neon with other species of prawns or socialize the colors of the coat, a possible cross-ability should be taken into account.
Females carry 20 to 40 golden yellow eggs under their abdomen, from which independent and fully developed baby shrimp are released after about 3 to 4 weeks. In the species tank, the hatchlings can stay with their parent animals, as the Yellow Fire Neon adult does not stalk young prawns. In the community pool, young animals need lots of hiding places in the form of delicate plants or moss cushions.
