This small hybrid less than 30 cms high can reach bloom up to twice a year with several generally hanging rods, which carry numerous flowers of 2,5 cm. without fragrance, but with bright orange to pink hues which can last several weeks.

It needs almost daily watering and needs a minimum amount of light, preferably indirectly. The ideal humidity for its growth is around 60%, and over temperatures between 14 and 28 degrees. Usually shipped unbloomed.

Howeara Lavaburst Features

All the mini orchids they are the distinctive result of crosses of small hybrids and naturally occurring species. This terrarium plant also can be easily tied as epiphyte without a pot with some sphagnum moss in the root ball.

Like its older sisters, a mini orchid is placed in the well-lit place of the terrarium or vivarium at warm temperatures of 20 to 26 degrees. Under LED lighting, these orchids can also be placed relatively close to the light source. Please note that the images serve only as an example to identify the species, and normally shipped without flowers.

Orchids are a colorful addition to any natural vivarium. Mostly epiphytic in nature, orchids are best anchored in wood or at the bottom of a tropical vivarium. The orchids they will not tolerate stagnant water on their leaves and they will benefit greatly from regular air circulation in the terrarium. Make sure to use a well-draining substrate when planting orchids or simply attach them with sphagnum moss to any surface.
