GENCHEM Astaxanthin Features
La astaxanthin it is a natural coloring. It is responsible for the red color of prawns, crabs, etc. It is produced industrially from the alga Haematococcus Pluvialis. The dye was previously known as Haematochrom or Haematochrome.
La astaxanthin it is structurally related to the known carotenoids β-carotene, zeaxanthin, and lutein, but has a 10-fold greater effect than beta-carotene.
Astaxanthin not only provides an intensity of the red colors, but also provides more pigment for all the prawns. More pigment means a more pleasant and intense color for the prawns.
