Cryptocoryne Pontederifolia characteristics
Cryptocoryne Pontederifolia is a marsh plant that has so far only been found in the northern part of the west coast of Sumatra (Indonesia).
There it grows in the freshwater tidal zone together with the Nipa palm (Nypa fruticans).
It has now also been introduced to Singapore, where it can be found on marshy soils along forest streams.
The species has been known as an aquarium plant in Europe for decades and is regularly traded.
