Cryptocoryne Petchii Characteristics
This is a variant of Cryptocoryne beckettii and develops lanceolate submerged leaves with a wavy margin, the upper side of which is brown and the lower side is red. It grows well in soft and hard water and adapts well in dim lighting, however its optimal development is in moderate light.
It is very easy to grow and has the typical characteristics of a Cryptocoryne Sri Lankan. It adapts well to both soft and hard water, light is relatively unimportant, although it grows best in more intense light. The brownish-green rosettes that form shortly after the plant is placed in the aquarium quickly spread and form dense shrubs. Nutrient-rich substrates enhance growth. The plant reacts well to extensive fertilization and CO2, but they are not essential requirements.
