Begonia Rajah Characteristics
It has a rhizomatous growth habit. The leaves are oval in shape with a pointed end. The surface of the blade is light green color with raised areas of mahogany color between the ribs. The flowers are small, from light pink to white.
Rajah begonia It is a rhizomatous species with distinctive foliage from the rest of its species. It was discovered in Malaya in 1894. The rhizome is thin and creeping. All the leaves are ovate, with a cordate base with the bases of the sheets superimposed and approximately 10 cm. at maturity. El color is a deep mahogany both on top and reverse surfaces (new leaves are almost red) and is indented with green streaks distinctive. The foliar area between the veins rises, giving a great bubbly effect. All the flowers are pale pink and appear in summer.
