Keep the potting soil continuously moist from the Nepenthes. This can be done by placing a saucer under the plant and filling it with a layer of water. It is a myth that Nepenthes' traps must be filled in regularly. This keeps the plant running.
However, the traps may have lost their moisture during transport. Larger plants are often transported with the traps upside down. In that case, the traps can be supplemented up to a quarter once with rainwater to prevent the traps from drying out.
Lighting design
In general, Nepenthes need a humid place. However, the Nepenthes Bloody Mary is much less demanding and works well in almost any living room.
Plants also need a lot of light, but not full sun. We also recommend keeping the plant indoors.
Fertilizer
We do not recommend fertilizing these plants.
