Characteristics of Labisia Posthumusiana
Labisia is a genus of shrubs belonging to the former family Myrsinaceae, now subfamily Myrsinoideae. It comprises 19 described species.
Labisia is a herbaceous plant that grows in low clusters, with solitary or rarely branched stems and fine, hairy roots. The leaves are oblong in shape, hairy on the underside, and can grow to 7.9–15.7 long. The inflorescence is brown in color and 2.0–2.4 long. Labysia, originally cultivated as a medicinal herb in Malaysia and Indonesia.
