SEACHEM Prime Features
Prime can be used during aquarium cycling to decrease the toxicity of ammonia and nitrite.
Detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biological filter to be more effective in removing them, including heavy metals found in tap water at typical concentrations. It also favors the production and regeneration of the natural protective mucosa of fish.
It is not an acid and does not impact the pH of the aquarium, use it at the start of the aquarium and when the water is added or changed.
Prime is the most concentrated dechlorinator on the market. A simple 100 ml bottle treats 4000 liters of tap water.
Eliminates both chlorine and chloramine from the water supplied by the municipal water network.
It also contains a compound that makes ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate non-toxic.
It is very important to understand how these functions work together. All antichlorides operate through a chemical process known as reduction. In this process the toxic chlorine gas (Cl2) is converted to non-toxic chlorine ions (Cl-). The reduction process also breaks the bonds between the chlorine and nitrogen atoms in the chloramine (NCl3) molecule, releasing the chlorine atoms and replacing them with hydrogen (H) to create ammonia (NH3).
Antichlorides usually end up here, leaving the aquarium filled with toxic ammonia. Seachem, on the other hand, takes the next necessary step; including a compound to detoxify the ammonia produced in the reduction process.
Prime favors the natural production and restoration of the protective mucosa of fish rather than relying on artificial or non-native compounds.

One of the best conditioners. With a concentration that makes it last a long time.

It is simply essential, with the smallest bottle I have been able to treat the change water for a long time, I would say years because it is a very concentrated product.
You can not miss.
