Characteristics of Rotala sp. "Coin Leaf"
A newly introduced Rotala found in a rice field by an Indian aquarist. It is very likely that it is part of Rotala rotundifolia. The commercial name “Coin Leaf” refers to the rounded leaves that have emerged, since they are typical of R. rotundifolia. Under water, the plant develops an elongated leaf shape and beautiful reddish colours, strong lighting and a good supply of nutrients and CO2.
Like "normal" Rotala rotundifolia, Rotala sp. "Coin Leaf" is a fast growing, easy to maintain stem plant that adapts well to the middle and bottom. It grows well in temperatures between 22-28 ° C, a pH of 5 to 8 and in soft to hard water.
