Characteristics of Plagiomnium cf. Affine - "Pearl Moss"
It is a relatively demanding, but very easy to maintain aquarium moss, growing upright underwater and having a surprisingly large number of small roots which are visible under the green shoots as dense reddish-brown hairs. With them, "Pearl Moss" grows firmly in the ground.
Plagimonium cf. affine needs medium to strong light. With a good nutrient supply and CO2 fertilization, the really slow growth in the aquarium can at least be speeded up a bit. Soft to very hard water tolerates it without problems.
Thanks to its slow growth, Plagimonium cf. affine it is very easy to maintain, it is not necessary to prune it frequently. To multiply the beautiful pearlescent moss, the cushions are divided and then re-tied or glued.
